The FGS Foundation's mission is to support talented students who contribute to the development of solutions that solve problems affecting society, especially challenges related to the use of technology. With the intention of honoring the memory of our beloved Federico, we have created
FGS SCOLARSHIP which is named after the person who dedicated his life and his great talent to develop technology and software specialized in helping anyone who needed it, especially children.
This year 2024 will mark the
4th edition of the FGS Scholarship, for which
the Federico Gómez Suárez Foundation will award a maximum of up to three equal scholarships within the collaborating
three equal scholarships within the collaborating universities with a value of $5,000 USD each.

To whom is this call addressed?
To be eligible for the scholarship, it is required to be a student from the 4th semester onwards enrolled in any degree program of the School of Engineering and have at least 10 missing courses.
High academic performance is expected, with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 9.0. In addition, you must not have more than 80% academic scholarship or have any other type of scholarship or financial support in effect at the time of enrollment.
It is also important not to have failed any course during the course of studies
or to have incurred in violations of the institutional regulations.
Having been involved in a foundation, ONG, focus group, public health institution, among others, is optional but will be taken into account as a plus in the evaluation.

How can I apply for the scholarship?
The application process consists of three steps. The first step is to register on the intranet platform, the second step is to submit the “TechForGood” project, and the third step involves the evaluation of the participant through different qualifying stages that will test their engineering knowledge, skills, English language skills, human values, leadership, social experiences, among others.
The portal details the specific conditions and requirements for each stage. In addition, applicants can check where they are in their application and which requirements have been met and which are still pending.
After each stage, applicants will receive a notification through the portal as to whether they have advanced to the next stage.
How can I get information on the current status of my application?

Which are the important dates to participate?
- Registration begins: April 1st, 2024.
- Registration Deadline: May 27, 2024 at 23:59 hrs (Mexico City time)
- Deadline to submit the TechForGood Project: May 31, 2024 at 23:59 hrs
(Mexico City Time) - Qualifying stages: As of June 1, 2024.
- Award Ceremony: July 19, 2024.
How and when are winners notified?
What benefits does the FGS Scholarship offer to students?
1. The scholarship may be used to cover the winner's tuition at:
a. Regular terms (Fall or Spring Semester) at the university where you are taking
your courses.
b. Summer terms at the university where you are studying.
c. A period abroad (one semester or one year) at a university that has an agreement with the
university where you are studying.
d. A diploma, course or academic certification in the university where he/she is studying.
e. A postgraduate degree from the university where he/she is pursuing his/her studies.
2. The scholarship may be used for the purchase of:
a. Any software license that is required as primary or secondary material and is supported by a teacher or academic director.
3. The scholarship may be used to cover the winner's college expenses such as:
a. SEP Quota
b. Titling process.
c. Medical insurance offered by the university where you are studying.
